MEMPHIS, Tenn. | Memphis Grizzlies Head Coach David Fizdale announced prior to the start of Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs that he will indeed start the same lineup -- Mike Conley, James Ennis, Vince Carter, Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol -- that finished the second half of Game 2 in a strong fashion.

"I've  got to play (Randolph) some big minutes tonight," Fizdale said. "We need him to play well, and there's no other way I'm going to get him the amount of minutes that he needs (by) bringing him off of the bench. Obviously, we will tighten the rotation and go with what we think is best."

The Grizzlies will look to snap a 10-game playoff losing streak to the Spurs and avoid an 0-3 start in the playoffs for the second consecutive year and the fourth time in franchise history (all previous instances resulted in a sweep).

"We're down 0-2," Fizdale said. "You just have to dig in and play ball, whoever you are getting on the court."

Game 3 tips at 8:40 p.m. CDT and can be seen locally on Fox Sports Southeast and nationally on TNT.

Halftime Statistics

Halftime Thoughts from FedExForum:

The Good: David Fizdale said before the game that he needed Zach Randolph to play well in order for the Grizzlies to have a chance to win tonight. The 16-year veteran from Michigan State has delivered. Despite only scoring two points during the first quarter, Randolph caught fire during the second quarter, hitting five-straight buckets, and finished the half with 13 points. Randolph also gave the Grizzlies five rebounds and a block during the first half.

The Grizzlies are 9-2 on the season when Randolph scores at least 19 points in a game.

In addition to Randolph's production, three point shooting has also been a strong indicator of the Grizzlies' success this year. During the first half, they were 5-of-12 from long range, including makes from Wayne Seldon and Andrew Harrison.

The Bad: The Grizzlies are going to have to make a decision about the wing rotation during the second half as Vince Carter has struggled. At the break, he only has two points and has really struggled on the defensive end. In what is essentially a do-or-die game, the Grizzlies can't afford not to get production from the wings.

James Ennis also has just five points and is 0-for-2 from three-point range. Seldon has shown flashes tonight, but relying on a rookie, who was in the D-League a month ago is a risky proposition.

The Ugly: JaMychal Green simply looks lost on the floor. Despite a strong +/- rating during the series, Green simply is struggling tonight on both ends, giving up easy drives to basket and showing indecision on the offensive end.
