D.J. Jeffries Decommits from Kentucky

Olive Branch forward D.J. Jeffries announced today on Twitter that he has decommitted from the University of Kentucky after "careful consideration prayer and countless hours of consulting with (his) family".

 

 

The Olive Branch, Miss. product is currently ranked as the No. 1 player in Mississippi in the 2019 rankings according to 247 Sports' composite rankings, and Jeffries is also listed as the No. 37 player nationally and the No. 10 small forward in the country according to the site. Also, The Clarion-Ledger of Jackson, Miss. named Jeffries as the Player of the Year in Mississippi.

 

The site currently lists Alabama, Kentucky, and Memphis as the favorites to land Jeffries. Jeffries has previously played grassroots basketball for Team Penny and the Bluff City Legends, the team that was formerly called "Team Penny".
