Dwayne Wade wasn't haven't it. He blocked Shelvin Mack's layup attempt to tie the game, then tied him up with a jump ball. He won the jump ball tip too. Wade said after the game, "I was very confident going into that jump ball that I could muster just enough to get it."

Conversely, the Grizzlies aren't very confident.  Can't win close games. It also seems more and more likely that the Grizzlies are headed for a .500 or below season record.

Even Mike Conley's full court toss that would have closed the game with a 112-111 score didn't count. FINAL: Miami Heat 112 Memphis Grizzlies 108

This was another frustrating closing effort for Memphis having started on a 19-7 run, closing the first half on a 17-4 run, yet still trailing at the half 63-61.

Good news: Kyle Anderson's sprained left ankle that forced him out of the game in the first half was x-rayed. The results were negative, luckily. Coach JB Bickerstaff said the Grizzlies will have an MRI of it on Sunday.  The Memphis Grizzlies certainly can't afford to lose Anderson for any length of time, let alone a significant amount. Friday the Grizzlies confirmed that Dillon Brooks will be out for the season.

NEXT GAME: Monday, January 14, at Houston vs. the Rockets. Memphis Grizzlies Game Network Pregame Radio Show begins at 6:30 p.m. on 92.9 FM ESPN
