Tyreke Evans will likely be remembered for many things in Memphis.  He is an understated former Memphis Tigers player who came home on a bargain 1-year deal to prove his worth. He certainly did.

One of things we'll likely remember about this season will be something he said after a much needed regular season victory in December. "We definitely F-**'** needed that," Evans said after the Grizzlies regular-season win December 5th. It was totally appropriate for much of the fanbase too. Heck, Marc Gasol was fined $15,000 for doing the same on live television. That night the Grizzlies broke an 11-game losing streak.  The streak was a sign of things to come with Mike Conley being held out for the rest of the season due to bone soreness/surgery/recovery.

Now, the Grizzlies have decided to hold out Tyreke as they navigate a deal that could possibly land them an additional 1st-round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

It makes sense. Get an additional pick and/or assets, lose more game, and get a higher lottery pick.
