It was a wild day in the NBA, especially for the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis said goodbye to Marc Gasol, trading him to the Raptors. The Grizzlies also parted ways with JaMychal Green and Garrett Temple. This left essentially 8 healthy players who could rotate in-and-out of Thursday night's game at Oklahoma City against a healthy and viable Oklahoma City Thunder team featuring two All-Stars in Paul George and Russell Westbrook. Westbrook dropped a triple-double (15-15-13) on Memphis Thursday night. Final: OKC Thunder 117 Memphis Grizzlies 95

The game essentially went as scripted in the second half, after Memphis ran out of gas. Memphis led 53-51 at half, but got bombed by the 3-point arch in the second half. Yes, this is the new NBA.

Mike Conley, now the Grizzlies singular leader, went for 15-points. Jaren Jackson Jr., now expected to score in mass every night, put in 27 points. Ivan Rabb and Bruno Caboclo looked the part of true NBA contributors scoring 15 and 16 respectively.
