With just over a month until the NBA hopes to restart the 2019-20 season, one of it's biggest stars has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst, Denver Nuggets' center Nikola Jokic tested positive for the novel Coronavirus in his native Serbia, delaying his return to the United States.

It's unclear if these two events are related, but it does now feel worth mentioning that Jokic, who Basketball Reference lists at 253 pounds, did appear to have lost weight in a recent photo:

Wojnarowski adds that while Jokic tested positive last week and hasn't shown any symptoms, he won't be able to travel to the United States until next week. Wojnarowski suggests that Jokic will first travel to Denver, even though training camp and the resumption of the season are scheduled to take place in Orlando. Teams will be allowed to have as many as eight players training together at a time at team facilities beginning on July 1.

Jokic, a two-time All-Star, has averaged 20.2 points-per-game and 10.2 rebounds-per-game thus far in the 2019-20 season. The Nuggets are 43-22, good for third place in the Western Conference.
