Tennessee Lineback Jeremy Banks was pulled over by University of Tennessee police on September 15th after making an illegal U-turn. Turns out he didn't have his drivers license (suspended) and Banks had a warrant out for driving with license suspended since July.

The two things that stick out from this case was what Banks said regarding his Memphis roots and what Pruitt said on the phone (Banks handed phone to his coach during stop).

Banks has since apologized for his behavior and statements.

Banks written statement, “I want to sincerely apologize to my family, the University of Tennessee and the law enforcement community. I deeply regret my language and attitude in the video. I have great respect for our policemen and women, and I am embarrassed by my actions that night. That’s not who I am. I promise to be a better representative for the University of Tennessee moving forward.”

Tennessee and Jeremy Pruitt said that they will handle the matter "internally".

Tennessee plays Georgia on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. on 92.9 FM ESPN
