Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Game goes to Jrue. FINAL: Pelicans 105 Grizzlies 85 (AUDIO: Geoff Calkins & Chris Herrington Discuss)

6-Game Losing Streak for the Grizzlies. Next: Grizzlies (19-28) vs. Charlotte Hornets (22-24)

January 21, 2019 - 9:19 pm

The Memphis Grizzlies celebrated the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Game with the Holiday brothers. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like a holiday for Grizzlies fans. It did for the wrong Holiday as Jrue scored 21 points in 39 minutes. On the flipside brother Justin, who the Grizzlies desperately need to see production from, only scored 8 points (-9 +/-) in 38 minutes. Final: New Orleans Pelicans 105 Memphis Grizzlies 85

New Orleans handled Memphis in the second half, playing the entire game without Anthony Davis, as Memphis never made the substantial comeback they needed to overcome another abysmal 3rd quarter effort. The good news is Memphis will get a chance to redeem itself Wednesday at home against the Charlotte Hornets, where they are favored. The bad news is that Memphis was favored to win Monday's game against New Orleans.
