Lorenzen Wright Murder Weapon Likely Found

A gun found in a lake in Walnut, Mississippi, might be the a missing link in the Lorenzen Wright murder according to Channel 3 WREG and the Commercial Appeal.  A Memphis police spokesperson told the Commercial Appeal that they believe this is the actual murder weapon.

Lorenzen was a high school basketball standout at Booker T. Washington in Memphis. He went on to star at the University of Memphis and was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1996 NBA Draft.  Wright went on to the NBA's Atlanta Hawks in 1999 before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2001.  He returned to the Hawks in 2006.

Lorenzen Wright was murdered in 2010.  His Mother, Deborah Marion, has kept the search alive ever since.
