Grizzlies Turn on the 2nd Half Surprises: Final-Memphis 110 Utah 100 (AUDIO)

Next Game: Sunday (11/4) at 7:00 p.m. vs. Suns on 92.9 FM ESPN

November 02, 2018 - 11:43 pm

The Memphis Grizzlies used a 57 point second half (30 point 3rd quarter) to beat the Utah Jazz 110-100 Friday night in Salt Lake City. Mike Conley led Memphis with 28 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Shelvin Mack really stepped up and showed why the Grizzlies had no use keeping Andrew Harrison as a backup guard option. Mack played 33 minutes and had 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Marc Gasol put in 17 points, and Jaren Jackson had 13.

For Utah, who didn't play Donovan Mitchell due to injury, it's the second home loss of the season to a Memphis Grizzlies team most didn't think would be in this position. In all likelihood, the best many would predict the Grizzlies record by this point would be 4-3, with a win at Sacramento and two losses in Utah. Instead the Grizzlies find themselves at 5-2 with two road wins at Utah, and a loss to a Sacramento Kings team that sits at 6 and 3.

The season is showing signs of promising, and an opportunity to move to 6 and 2 for the Memphis Grizzlies as they head into Phoenix for Sunday night's game that can be heard at 7:00 p.m. on 92.9 F ESPN.

Next Game: Sunday (11/4) with Pregame at 6:30 p.m. with Gary Darby, Tip just after 7:00 p.m. on 92.9 FM ESPN.
