Grizzlies lose, but Jevon Carter Breaks Out for Memphis (Bickerstaff Postgame AUDIO)

Final: Houston 105 Memphis 98/Next Game on 92.9 Monday Night Grizz vs. Warriors

December 15, 2018 - 10:01 pm

So the Grizzlies didn't make a trade Friday night.  Still a "new" player made his Memphis Grizzlies regular season debut Saturday (12/15) at FedExForum.  Jevon Carter made his regular season debut for Memphis. Carter played 22 minutes going 5 of 9 from the field, hitting a 3-pointer (11 total points), getting 2 steals and a block. Carter, who has been regarded as a defensive guru, showed signs of why the Grizzlies drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He's been relegated to the G-League for much of the season while riding the bench for select Grizzlies games.

The bad news was that Jevon Carter was the lone "diamond in the rough" for Memphis.

Final: Houston Rockets 105 Memphis Grizzlies 97

For Memphis (Grizzlies and Tigers), it was three losses. The Grizzlies had back-to-back losses plus a trade for a wing scorer that fell through because of a mix up of players named "Brooks".  Only in Memphis and the movies, of course.
