The Memphis Grizzlies started slow, down 62-54 at the half  (at one point down 18 points), but rallied to beat the Phoenix Suns 120-115 Saturday night at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

After the game Coach JB Bickerstaff focused on what the Grizzlies did defensively, particularly in the fourth quarter. "We decided to defend them," Coach JB Bickerstaff said in the postgame.  Bickerstaff added, "That's what we have to do to be successful."

Combine what the Grizzlies did defensively against the Suns late, combined with the Suns losing DeAndre Ayton rolling his left ankle and missing the fourth, and the Grizzlies overwhelmed Phoenix in the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies also held Devin Booker under 50 (48 points), not that it's an especially fun thing to celebrate.

All five Grizzlies starters scored in double figures with Mike Conley going for 33 points, Justin Holiday with 14 points, Bruno Caboclo with 12, and Tyler Dorsey chipping in 11.  But it was Jonas Valanciunas that really took over against the Suns, especially late when guarded by Dragan Bender. Valanciunas had 34 points and 20 rebounds.
