In the end the Grizzlies defense was generally solid Wednesday night, especially in the first quarter, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are just "that bad". Memphis only allowed 9 first quarter points against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was enough to lose the second half at FedExForum but win the game.  Final: Memphis 95 Cleveland 87

In typical Grizzlies fashion Memphis made it difficult on themselves, letting Cleveland back into it. (AUDIO-click main picture above for Coach JB Bickerstaff postgame) The Cavaliers closed to within 4 points with 1:19 to go before Mike Conley became "Clutch Conley" with a driving layup with under a minute to play along with two key free throws before the Grizzlies closed it out.

Marc Gasol led the way for Memphis with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Kyle Anderson was the Grizzlies highest "plus" player (+13) on the night scoring 15 points in 35 minutes of action. (CLICK BELOW-audio from Kyle Anderson postgame with Eric Hasseltine).
