Grizzlies Celebrate Night of "What Was" and "What Will Be" (AUDIO/VIDEO)

Final: Grizzlies 112 Kings 104 NEXT GAME: Sunday 11/18 vs. Timberwolves on 92.9 FM

November 17, 2018 - 8:45 pm

The Memphis Grizzlies celebrated "what was" (and continues to be) Memphis' all-time rebounding leader in Marc Gasol on Friday night (11/16).

Gasol overtook Zach Randolph on the all-time list for Memphis as ZBo watched his new team, the Sacramento Kings, lose at FedExForum. Gasol acknowledged he wanted to break Randolph's record as Zach looked on.

Friday night was also a game for Memphis' "what is" (and will hopefully continue to deliver bigger results as time goes on).  Grizzlies fans celebrated their excellent #4 pick in the 2018 NBA Lottery, Jaren Jackson Jr. Sure it was a signature "foul prone" effort by Jackson, but at times it seemed that Jaren was unguardable.

Jackson Jr. finished with 27 points and 6 rebounds in 31 minutes. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley both had 19 points.

NEXT GAME: Memphis Grizzlies (9-5) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (7-9)

Memphis Forward JaMychal Green will return to action after suffering a broken jaw and missing 12 games.

Sunday (11/18) in Minnesota against the Timberwolves. Grizzlies Pregame LIVE at 2:00 p.m. Tip at 2:30 p.m. on 92.9 FM ESPN and 680 AM.
