AP Poll: LSU #5, Auburn #10, UCF #13, Kentucky #17, Miss State #23

September 23, 2018 - 4:48 pm

The University of Memphis Tigers took awhile to get rolling, but used a 31 point second half to beat the University of South Alabama 52-35 Saturday at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in front of 27,765 fans.

Meanwhile Memphis' old coach, Justin Fuente, had what is likely the letdown of the 2018-19 college football season so far. Fuente's Virginia Tech Hokies lost to Old Dominion 49-35.

In Knoxville, Tennessee was destroyed by Dan Mullen's Florida team 47-21. Mullen and Florida will travel to Starkville, MS. next weekend for an interesting matchup against his old team, the Mississippi State Bulldogs. State showed little heart losing Kentucky on the road 28-7.
