Grizzlies lost in Final Second to Spurs 108-107. Next Game: Wednesday vs. Bulls on 92.9

Career High 33 points for Avery Bradley. Jonas Valanciunas Begins Grizz Career with Double-Double 23 and 10.

February 12, 2019 - 9:50 pm

The Spurs only had 1 foul in the 4th quarter. Call it the Popovich Effect. Unfortunately they got their only foul call of the final quarter with 1 second remaining, down 2. Jaren Jackson missed the front end.  On the second free throw Jackson then inadvertently banked the second shot in while trying to bank the ball off the rim to regain possession. Final: San Antonio Spurs 108 Memphis Grizzlies 107

This was a game about new faces and fun. There were multiple moments of joy watching new Grizzlies guard Avery Bradley score a career high 33 points.

Jonas Valanciunas had a double-double 23 points and 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play. More remarkable was the fact that Valanciunas hadn't played in a game since December due to a hand injury.
