Memphis' worst kept basketball secret that Joakim Noah was heading to Memphis is coming to fruition according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Memphis signed Noah to a low-risk and high-reward deal that will hopefully help their low-post defense, rebounding, and overall depth at the 4/5-spot.

Noah was the ninth pick in the 2007 NBA Draft Lottery after finishing his career at the University of Florida where he was a consensus All-American. Joakim was named NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player (2006) after the Gators won the NCAA Men's Championship. A 2-time NBA All-Star and 2-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection, Noah spent his first 9 seasons in Chicago with the Bulls before going to the New York Knicks.
