What exactly is a unicorn?  Well, it's likely a freakishly long player who can play inside, outside, and defend/block shots. Yep, that's Jaren Jackson. And the unicorn showed out Friday night in Brooklyn as the Grizzlies made it to double overtime and beat the Nets 131 to 125. First, Jackson hit on a 4-point play (fouled and made 3-pointer) with 26.8 to pull the Grizzlies to 111-108. Then, Jackson forced a turnover on the defensive end guarding alongside D'Angelo Russell who dribbled out of bounds. Jaren then went on to hit another 3-pointer to tie the game at 111-111 with 15.9.

Yes, Jaren Jackson Jr. is a unicorn player. And yes, the Grizzlies actually selected correctly in the 2018 NBA Draft it appears. Jackson finished the night with 36 points and 8 rebounds in 43 minutes.

But this Brooklyn win was also about Mike Conley and Marc Gasol getting a much-needed win on a 3-game losing streak with a matchup against the 76ers looming. Conley played 45 minutes and went for 37 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds. Gasol also contributed his own double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds in 46 minutes.

Next Game: Sunday, December 2nd-Grizzlies vs. 76ers at 5:00 p.m./Pregame at 4:30 p.m. on 92.9 FM ESPN
