Bad Loss. Wild Trade Derailed? Final: Miami 100 Memphis 97 (Postgame AUDIO w/Coach Bickerstaff)

Next Game: Saturday Grizzlies (16-12) vs. Rockets (13-14)

December 14, 2018 - 10:33 pm

What a weird, and bad night, for the Memphis Grizzlies. Let's start with the actual game. Memphis was favored Friday night going against a short handed Miami Heat team at FedExForum. Miami was without Dwayne Wade and Goran Dragic. Pair that with a distraction likely overheard by players in the middle of the 4th quarter where it seemed that either MarShon Brooks or Dillon Brooks (one of the Brooks players for Memphis) and Wayne Selden were reportedly in a 3-team trade with the Suns and Wizards with (either) MarShon/Dillon and Wayne going to the Suns, a 2020 Grizzlies 2nd-round pick and conditional 2019 2nd-round pick going to Washington, Trevor Ariza going to the Wizards, and Kelly Oubre coming back to Memphis.

Turns out there was confusion with "which" Brooks was included, so the whole deal fell apart.

Simply put, there is no deal.

But it was a bad loss on the night for Memphis. Final: Miami Heat 100 Memphis Grizzlies 97

Now Memphis tries to put it back together and win Saturday night (12/15) at FedExForum against the Houston Rockets.
